Founded on the ideals of personal integrity and dedication to our clients, Groskreutz, Abraham, Eshleman & Gerretse (GAEG) was founded by Harry Topping in 1943. In 1969, Harry Topping and Joseph C. Gianotti merged their separate practices and became known as Topping and Gianotti. A full-service certified public accounting firm with offices in Kankakee, Forrest and Roberts, GAEG continues its commitment to these ideals.

The name of the Firm has changed as individuals were added to the partnership and after retirements.

GAEG keeps pace in an unpredictable business environment by developing and maintaining expertise in many areas through ongoing continuing education, professional development and involvement in civic and industry organizations. The firm has worked diligently to assemble a select team of highly knowledgeable professionals who work together to meet the current and future needs of our clients.

Peer Review

The Firm is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Division of firms and therefore have a peer review of our system of quality control for accounting and auditing practice every three years. Firms can receive a peer review rating of pass, pass with deficiencies, or fall. Our most recent Peer Review, which included governmental audits and single audits, was completed for the year 2019 and resulted in us receiving a rating of pass.
